Storage Specialists was formed in 2004 by Bahman Abtahi and Ron Harden to develop self storage facilities. Bahman Abtahi, CEO & President, is one of the most experienced self storage developers in the world having served as the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions, Construction and Development for Public Storage, Inc., the world's largest self storage company. Over his last three years at Public Storage, Inc., Mr. Abtahi developed over nine million square feet of storage space (120 buildings) in the US and Canada, managing a department of 50 people in addition to outside architects, consultants and expeditors. Ron Harden was Executive Vice President of Operations for Public Storage, Inc., where he was responsible for the financial and operational performance of more than 1400 self storage facilities in the United States and Canada. As a member of Public Storage Inc.'s Executive Committee, Mr. Harden reviewed and approved all new development sites.
